Mary is dedicated to family and community service. She is well versed in our community’s needs, as well as the issues which confront our public education system and its students.

Mary has resided in Cape Coral since 1977. She is the mother of Wendy, Lori, Greg and the late Eddie, all Lee County school graduates. Five of her grandchildren are attending Lee County public schools; one is in the U.S. Navy.

She earned her B.A. in Social Science and her M.A. in Counselor Education at USF. Her experience includes varied positions with the Lee County School District, the 20th Judicial Circuit Court Administrator’s Office and Lee Memorial Health System. She has been a leader in the field of child advocacy, promoting Child Abuse and Bully Prevention, Peer Mediation, Family Literacy, and Health & Safety programs for children.

Mary has been honored for her school and community work, including recognition from the Florida Crisis Response Team. She recently received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Lee County School Counselors Association.
